The good stuff.

Your cloud.
Your call.

More control over your memories.
Fewer things standing in the way.

At home with a phone and the powered Frynk Home personal cloud.
Your memories, at home on storage you own. · Hardware design concept

A cloud that lives at home.

Keep your photo and video library on storage you own. Home is the centre of your personal cloud.

Grow your space. Not your bill.

Use expandable storage instead of paying for another hosted photo tier. Local use has no required subscription.

A copy you can count on.

Frynk verifies completed copies before marking them backed up. Your originals stay where they are unless you choose to remove them.

Away from home? Still connected.

Optional remote access connects the app to your Home through a relay. You turn it on for each Home; creating an account never enables it.

Together, with your own space.

One Home can support individual family libraries, roles and sharing controls. Everyone does not have to share everything.

Backup on your terms.

Choose photo and video cellular settings separately. iOS background support works when the system allows; no promise of constant execution.

How it works

Home is where
your cloud is.

  1. Connect your Home.

Pair your phone with Home on your local network. An account is optional for local use.

  2. Choose what to back up.

Copy photos and videos to your storage. Frynk verifies completed transfers and tracks their status.

  3. Make it yours.

Set your backup preferences. Turn on remote access separately if you want to sync while away.

Sync from anywhere to your personal cloud.

Remote access is optional and requires Home approval. Your library's destination stays your own Home storage.

Two locations: a traveller using her phone at a hotel, and her powered personal cloud at home.
Away: a traveller uses her phone in a hotel.

Away with your phone.

At home: Frynk Home remains connected to power.

Backed up to your Home.

Frynk hardware design concept

Private deserves a clear explanation.

Your library.
On your storage.

Frynk does not host your photo library. Local media stays on your devices and Home storage.

Optional remote sync passes media through a Frynk relay while it travels to your Home. This connection uses transport encryption, but is not end-to-end encrypted: the relay operator can access content in transit. Home storage is not currently encrypted at rest by Frynk.

Accounts use our own authentication service, with Firestore for account and session data. Photo metadata and backup receipts remain on Home. Creating an account never makes a Home reachable over the internet.

The details, without the fine print.

Good to know.

What is Frynk?

Frynk is a personal cloud for photos and videos. The app connects your phone to storage you own through Home, with an optional portable companion called Puck. The product is in development.

Is there a monthly subscription?

Local Frynk use has no required subscription. Hardware and storage are separate costs. Optional remote sync is free during the preview; future service terms may change.

Do I need an account?

You can use your local cloud without an account. An account is needed for optional internet access, which must also be enabled separately by the Home administrator.

Does Frynk store my photo library?

Your library stays on your own storage, rather than a Frynk-hosted photo library. Optional remote sync sends media through a relay in transit. The relay is not end-to-end encrypted, so its operator can access relayed content.

Can I buy Home or Puck today?

Not yet. The compact devices shown here are design previews, not shipping hardware. App and Home software prototypes exist; launch timing and final hardware specifications are not announced.

Will it delete photos from my phone?

Backup preserves your originals by default. Cleanup is a separate, explicit choice after fresh verification of the Home copy. Deleting from Photos can also affect iCloud and other devices.

Keep the moments. Keep the control.

Your life has
room to grow.
